Rampage 3” Tube Steps

Getting my Jeep used I was forced to use a steel horse step that came with it. After about the third time banging my shin on it, they had to go! So I replaced them with the Rampage black 3” tube steps. The guys at Rampage have tons of after market accessories for Jeeps. And they are well built. There was no doubt I wanted these steps. Well that and I got a heck of a deal on eBay for them.

Normally priced around $220 for the black model, they are fairly in expensive. They do add some style to your Jeep and add a functioning way to enter your Jeep ad they are mounted to the body mounts and not the tub. Installation is easy just remove two body mounting bolts to install.

The finish is a well done powder coating semi gloss black, and has a plastic step insert built in. The finish has held up well to two Indiana winters now with no sign of rusting.

I would have to say, if you are planning to do some serious off-roading, or rock climbing, these tube steps might not be for you. They stick out to about the same distance as the fender flares, and could, as the very least get dinged up when maneuvering on the trail. The you may want to look into the rocker guards with built in steps, or a 2” square tubing guard.

If your Jeep stays on the road, or does some light trail riding, or mudding, where the chances of you beating them up are slim, and you want to just make your Jeep look good, then these steps will do great for you.
